Lotus & Lime Asian Kitchen is a neighborhood spot on Tyler Street in Polk City, Iowa, cooking the Asian comfort food we grew up loving, made to order and priced right.
Why we cook both.
Some days you want a big bowl of pho or a crisp banh mi. Other days it's pad thai, drunken noodles or a coconut yellow curry. We didn't want to make anyone choose a restaurant, so we put Vietnamese and Thai cooking on one menu.
Around those two sit a few dishes we simply love to make: Korean kalbi beef ribs with fried eggs, stir-fried salmon, steamed char siu buns, and a full lineup of boba milk teas and smoothies.

Fresh herbs and house sauces
Thai basil, cilantro, lime and bean sprouts go on the side of every bowl of pho. Our peanut sauce, lime vinaigrette and garlic-cilantro-lime dip are made in house.
Your protein, your way
Most mains come with beef, chicken, pork, shrimp or tofu, or no meat with extra veggies. That makes it easy to eat vegetarian here, from vegetarian pho to eggplant & tofu.
Spice you can see coming
The ★ "made with spice" mark flags our boldest dishes, like the Lotus Lux Spicy Soup, Angry Fever Stir Fry and Chili House wings. Everything else is flavorful without the burn.

We're at 1010 Tyler St in Polk City, just north of Des Moines and a few minutes from Big Creek State Park and Saylorville Lake. Neighbors from Ankeny, Johnston and Granger stop in for lunch, pick up dinner on the way home, or grab takeout and a Thai iced tea before a day on the water.
We keep it simple: order online for pickup or delivery, call us, or walk in. Feeding a group? We put together catering orders by phone.
